The South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) is the State Government’s lead agency driving space innovation, research and growth. Defence & Space Landing Pad

Located at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide’s CBD, the Defence and Space Landing Pad is available for companies looking to establish a presence in South Australia. Managed by Defence SA, the site offers affordable, short-term office facilities and connects companies to government support programs and a network of companies working within the defence and space sectors.

Space manufacturing facility

The South Australian Government is investing $20 million towards space manufacturing capability, with plans underway to establish a common user space assembly, test and integration facility at Lot Fourteen to accelerate the development of local space innovation into real world commercial technologies.

SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SPACE COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION FUND

The fund provides grants to support the rapid transition of space technology into operational use while growing the South Australian space ecosystem.

Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center

Headquartered in Adelaide, the US-based Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) Australia Global Hub facilitates international cooperation, coordination and information sharing, with the goal of reducing threats to Australian space missions and critical infrastructure.

Australasian Space Innovation Institute (ASII)

The ASII is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to scaling the impact of space innovation nationally and across the Indo-Pacific, with a focus on building technologies that will enhance digital infrastructure to transform agriculture, mining, defence, climate resilience and community safety to serve the public good and advance the national interest.

Kanyini mission

Launched in 2024, Kanyini was South Australia’s first state-funded, locally manufactured satellite, developed in partnership with SmartSat CRC, Inovor Technologies and Myriota.
