Home to the Australian Space Agency and over 100 space-related organisations, South Australia is the undisputed national centre of Australia’s space industry.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build a thriving and enduring South Australian space ecosystem, supporting Australia’s national space strategy, building on the opportunities of NewSpace.

The South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) is committed to further growing the local space industry and building on the state’s strong history of space activity.

SASIC supports space entrepreneurs, provides an incubator for space projects and has built an environment where new space technologies can be rapidly developed.

SASIC builds on the work done by the previous Space Industry Office at Defence SA, which developed the first space strategy of any jurisdiction in Australia. It also supports South Australia’s emerging space industry by providing grant funding through the Space Innovation Fund of up to $1 million every year to young space entrepreneurs, along with new and existing space start-ups.
