Australian Space Discovery Centre

The Australian Space Discovery Centre (ASDC)  is a unique hub for visitors of all ages to explore the latest innovations in space technologies, through a range of interactive exhibits and displays.

Located at Lot Fourteen in the heart of Adelaide, the Australian Space Discovery Centre (ASDC) opened in 2021. The centre offers visitors a dynamic gateway to learn about Australia’s role in space, featuring:

A Careers Hub to explore job opportunities in the local space sector.

Mission control and theatrette

Witness the Responsive Space Operations Centre in action as it monitors and tracks live space operations.

The space gallery

An interactive space gallery with hands-on exhibits showcasing Australia’s growing space sector.

Endeavour room

A space-themed experience designed to engage and inspire visitors.

Visitor information

Varying opening hours

During SA school terms, the Discovery Centre is open for general sessions on the following days:

  • Wednesdays to Fridays, 1pm – 5pm
  • Saturdays and Sundays, 10am – 5pm
  • Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

During SA school holidays, the Discovery Centre is open for general sessions from 10am – 5pm on all days. The ASDC also offers school holiday programs for children of all ages.

Entry for all visitors is free but visitors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 17.

Accessibility and support

The ASDC is designed to be accessible to all visitors. Sensory guides, seating and assistance are available to ensure an inclusive experience.

The Discovery Centre offers programs and excursions for schools and groups, providing hands-on STEM and space experiences.
