Local company Fleet Space Technologies recently announced plans to build a new mission control centre in Adelaide.
The control centre, to be based in Beverley, will support Fleet’s plans to launch 100 nanosatellites into orbit this year to connect the Internet of Things and increase efficiency in industries from agriculture to logistics..
The project will create 17 ongoing jobs in IT and advanced manufacturing, more than doubling Fleet’s current staff numbers.
The South Australian Government awarded Fleet Space Technologies $500,000 from its Future Jobs Fund to help it set up the new mission control.
