South Australian-based satellite manufacturer Inovor Technologies has partnered with Japanese space situational awareness (SSA) service provider Star Signal Solutions Inc. to collaborate on advanced space technologies and services.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Embassy of Australia in Tokyo recently, in the presence of Australian diplomatic representatives and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
The partnership marks a significant step forward in Australia-Japan co-operation in the space sector. It brings together complementary expertise in SSA, space traffic coordination and satellite communications, aiming to deliver cutting-edge space-based solutions for government and commercial clients across the Indo-Pacific region.
Inovor Technologies CEO Dr Matt Tetlow said the MoU paves the way for joint technical development, mission collaboration and long-term commercial engagement.
“This MOU is more than a business agreement—it’s a partnership rooted in shared ambition. Together, we are well-positioned to deliver innovative, sovereign space solutions that benefit not only our nations, but the wider region,” he said.
Star Signal Solutions Founder and CEO Mr Akihiro Iwaki said the company was looking forward to collaborating with Inovor.
“We are fortunate to collaborate with Inovor Technologies, a trusted Australian innovator in the space sector,” Mr Iwaki said.
“We look forward to launching an initiative that harnesses the technological strengths of both companies across Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.”
