Adelaide-based Myriota, a global leader in space-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indonesia’s leading satellite service provider, Telkomsat.

The agreement will see Myriota expand its IoT connectivity services and solutions platform to the region, including the new HyperPulse™ 5G NTN service developed with Viasat. HyperPulse™ is the first IoT service to utilise Viasat’s dynamic leasing capability across its L-band network, which enables connectivity performance to be adjusted geographically in response to customer demand or environmental conditions.

The innovation complements Myriota’s LEO-based UltraLite™ service, which delivers unparalleled energy efficiency, security and spectrum efficiency to support even the most challenging IoT use cases.

Myriota CEO Ben Cade said the partnership represents a significant milestone in expanding the company’s presence in Indonesia.

“This partnership brings together Telkomsat’s deep regional experience and Myriota’s world-leading satellite IoT technology,” Mr Cade said.

“Together, we’re laying the groundwork for scalable IoT solutions that meet the needs of Indonesia’s most important industries – from energy and resources to agriculture and environmental management.”

By integrating Myriota’s services, Telkomsat will broaden its portfolio of satellite solutions.

The partnership will target sectors including maritime, oil and gas, agriculture and environmental and disaster monitoring. These industries share a critical need for reliable, affordable and resilient connectivity, particularly in remote areas that traditional networks cannot reach.

The MoU establishes a foundation for continued collaboration between Myriota and Telkomsat to advance satellite IoT capability throughout Indonesia and the ASEAN region.
