South Australian space company Fleet Space Technologies has officially opened its new global headquarters (GHQ) in Adelaide, delivering a major boost to South Australia’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.
Located at Adelaide Airport’s Catalyst Park, the site will support production of thousands of Fleet Space’s patented smart sensors and hundreds of satellites each year.
The company, which has been running for a decade, has a 150-strong workforce – with room to grow.
The GHQ houses the company’s research and development labs, 3D printing technologies, data centre infrastructure and central operations for its mineral exploration-focused AI supercomputer.
Founded in Adelaide in 2015, Fleet Space has grown into a global leader in frontier technologies and mineral exploration.
Currently, the state’s space sector directly employs more than 1500 people in South Australia, plus hundreds more across the supply chain and supporting industries.
