After great anticipation across the country, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison today formally opened the Australian Space Discovery Centre and Mission Control Centre in the heart of Adelaide at Lot Fourteen.
Set to inspire the new generation of space leaders through stories of innovation, curiosity and tech, the centre is a place where people of all ages can learn about space and Australia’s role. The state-of-the-art Mission Control Centre will mean local space companies can track and control their own missions and satellites, which visitors can witness in real-time.
The facilities mark another milestone for South Australia’s space ecosystem, further cementing the state as the nation’s home of space innovation.
