The Andy Thomas Space Foundation (ATSF) and City of Port Lincoln have joined forces to launch a new scholarship program inspiring local students to pursue careers in space.
The Undergraduate Scholarship (Constellation Program) is available to Year 12 students from the Port Lincoln region who will be embarking on an undergraduate degree in 2023 that could steer them towards career in a space-related field in Australia.
Disciplines that could lead to a space-related career include (but are not limited to) Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computing, Business, Law and Medicine.
Eligible students will have attended one of the following secondary schools:
- Port Lincoln High School, Port Lincoln
- Navigator College, Port Lincoln
- St Joseph’s School, Port Lincoln
The City of Port Lincoln in providing a scholarship of $5,000 to kickstart the journey of a young person from the region into a space career.
Applications are now open and close on 20 January 2023.
