The South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) is supporting local space enthusiasts to take part in the prestigious Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SHSSP) in 2025.
Delivered in partnership by the University of South Australia and International Space University, the intensive, four-week SHSSP program provides a well-rounded overview of key principles and concepts including, space science and exploration; applications and services; systems engineering and technologies as well as space policy, economics and law.
Up to eight half scholarships are being offered by SASIC, to support South Australian residents with an interest in pursuing a career in the state’s space sector, to attend the program being held in Adelaide from 13 January to 7 February 2025.
The scholarships are valued at $6,250 AUD, with applicants required to co-contribute $6,250 AUD. The full program fee ($17,000 AUD) has been subsidised by UniSA and the International Space University.
Held at UniSA’s Mawson Lakes campus, SHSSP is designed to upskill and reskill the future space workforce, providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary understanding of the knowledge needed by today’s space professionals.
Applicants can be from any discipline, with professionals, university graduates and undergraduate students who have successfully completed at least two years of study eligible to apply.
