The AMDA Foundation has secured Platinum sponsorship for the 10th Australian Space Forum which will be held on 25 November 2020 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Hosted by the South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) and supported by the Australian Space Agency and SmartSat CRC, the biannual forum has become one of the foremost events on the national space industry calendar.
The AMDA Foundation aims to promote the development of Australian manufacturing, technology, resources and capability across a number of defence sectors. The organisation has sponsored several previous Space Forums, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the Australian space sector.
AMDA Foundation Chief Executive Officer Ian Honnery said the organisation was pleased to be supporting the event’s 10th instalment.
“This event has earned great respect as a constructive platform for engagement on developing the Australian space industry,” said Mr Honnery.
“In pursuing opportunities for Australian industry the Forum’s goals accord with AMDA Foundation’s own mission of advancing the development and resilience of Australia’s industrial and technological resources in aerospace and defence capabilities.”
Among other returning sponsors is Australian technology company Scitek Australia, who have exhibited at the forum since the exhibition element was first introduced in 2018.
Scitek Australia’s Territory Manager for South Australia Kelvin Ho said the Space Forum has always been a fantastic event for the company to network with industry and meet new customers.
“Scitek’s competencies and product portfolio are very closely aligned with the space industry,” Mr Ho said.
“We have been supplying vacuum technology, nanofabrication and material analysis tools for over 30 years. Our manufacturing partners have longstanding relationships with leading organisations including NASA and ESA as well as newer industry members like SpaceX.
“It is exciting to now add the Australian space community to our partnerships.”
SASIC Chief Executive Richard Price said the space forum brings together key international and local players in the space industry and provides a fantastic platform for networking across an exciting and rapidly growing sector.

The Space Forum program is designed to showcase the best of the Australian space sector, highlight industry trends and encourage collaboration and investment. The November event will have a particular focus on international collaboration, venture capital, and research and development.
The Space Forum will once again feature live streaming to maintain its national and international relevance and accommodate those that are unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time.
