The South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) is continuing to back local space businesses, supporting five emerging companies with complimentary one-year memberships with the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA).

ResearchSat, Blue Dwarf Space, Paladin Space, CyberOps and Robinson Aerospace Systems have been awarded the memberships through a partnership between SASIC and SIAA. The successful recipients were selected through an assessment process administered by SIAA.

SASIC Director Space Campbell Pegg congratulated the successful recipients and said the initiative would help local companies strengthen industry relationships across the broader Australian space sector.

“South Australia is home to a growing community of space companies developing innovative technologies, products and services,” Mr Pegg said.

“This initiative will help these companies expand their national networks, raise their profile and engage with partners across industry, government and the research community.”

The membership initiative was launched in July 2026, following SASIC joining as a Foundation Member of SIAA. SASIC’s partnership with SIAA is designed to strengthen South Australia’s connection to the national space sector and create new opportunities for local companies to collaborate and grow.

As SIAA members, the companies will gain access to a national network of space organisations, government stakeholders, researchers and industry leaders. They will also have opportunities to participate in industry events, programs, policy discussions and advocacy activities.

SIAA Chief Executive Officer Dan Llyod said the initiative would help emerging South Australian companies contribute to and benefit from the broader Australian space sector.

“SIAA is delighted to be welcoming this cohort of South Australian startups to the Space Industry Association of Australia,” Mr Lloyd said.

“SIAA is very focused on ensuring that the Australian space industry achieves its full potential by ensuring pathways for emerging companies to grow, connect and contribute to the broader industry and government.”

“We are pleased to be partnering with SASIC on this important initiative and look forward to working with these outstanding innovators to maximise their contribution.”

The initiative reinforces SASIC’s commitment to building as strong and globally connected space ecosystem by helping local businesses develop capability, strengthen networks and access opportunities in Australia and overseas.

SIAA is Australia’s peak body for the space sector, representing organisations across launch services, advanced manufacturing, downstream data, artificial intelligence, research, professional services and aerospace.
