Fleet Space Technologies, Australia’s leading space exploration company, has officially opened its new global headquarters and hyperfactory at Adelaide Airport’s Catalyst Park industrial precinct.

Marking a major leap forward for advanced manufacturing and space innovation in South Australia, the purpose-built facility spans more than 5,300 m² and will support large-scale production of Fleet Space’s patented smart sensors and hundreds of satellites annually.

The company’s global headquarters – GHQ – also houses research and development labs, advanced 3D printing technologies, data centre infrastructure and the central operations for ExoCore – Fleet’s AI-powered supercomputer designed to support mineral exploration.

Fleet Space CEO and Co-Founder Flavia Tata Nardini said the new facility represents a bold step forward for Australian innovation.

“Today marks a significant leap into the future for Fleet Space and Australian innovation, as we continue our mission to build revolutionary frontier technologies that address the dual challenges of climate change and space exploration, from the heart of South Australia.

The launch of GHQ coincides with Fleet Space’s 10-year anniversary.

Founded in Adelaide in 2015, the company has grown into a global leader in frontier technologies, with a strong focus on space and climate innovation. Today, more than 150 people operate out of its hub in South Australia, with the GHQ facility set to create hundreds of new high-skilled jobs in South Australia as Fleet Space continues to grow

Following the close of a A$150 million Series D funding round in December 2024, Fleet Space is now valued at approximately A$800 million, establishing its position as Australia’s most valuable space exploration company.

“With our new GHQ at Adelaide Airport’s Catalyst Park, we’re strategically positioned to continue our exponential growth and manufacture the next-gen of technologies to chart a more sustainable future on Earth, while furthering humanity’s exploration of our solar system,” Flavia said.

The facility strengthens South Australia’s reputation as a national leader in space, with more than 1,500 people currently employed directly in the sector and hundreds more across the supply chain and supporting industries.
